Atlas Turnaround Awards
Cooley's Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice was honored with the Consumer Goods & Services Turnaround of the Year Award for its representation of the official committee of unsecured creditors of Uno Restaurant Holdings Corporation (d/b/a Pizzeria Uno).

Benchmark Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America's Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys
Thirteen Cooley litigators were recognized in the 2012 edition of Benchmark Litigation. They included Michael Attanasio, Jonathan Bach, Celia Goldwag Barenholtz, Michelle Doolin, Koji Fukumura, Bill Grauer, Patrick Gunn, Alan Levine, Stephen Neal, Michael Rhodes, William Schwartz, Steve Strauss and Tim Teter.

In addition, Cooley's Litigation Department was rated as "Recommended" in both California and New York.

Best Lawyers in America
85 Cooley LLP attorneys were recognized in the 2012 edition of the Best Lawyers in America, a leading peer-review survey.  Thirty nine Cooley attorneys received rankings in multiple practice categories, including 14 who were recognized in four or more practice areas and 23 who were honored in at least three practice areas. In all, Cooley attorneys were recognized 175 times in the rankings.

Corporate Counsel Patent Litigation Survey
Cooley's Intellectual Property Litigation practice ranked 9^th overall for total number of federal patent case representations and 10^th for total number of patent defense cases in the 2011 edition of Corporate Counsel's "Patent Litigation Survey." The firm experienced an 11% increase from the previous year in the total number of patent case representations (49), while remaining in the top 10 for total number of patent defense cases with 37 matters.

Jim Fulton and Gordon Ho have been named as two of California's Top 25 Clean Tech Lawyers.

International Tax Review
Cooley was named U.S. Tax Court Firm of the Year for its work on Entergy Corporation v. Commissioner case in the U.S. Tax Court in September 2010.
